13. Paliacate

In Mexico, Paliacate is the name of a piece of cloth that traditionally people wears in the countryside for working on the fields. In this neck piece we put a big effort in emulating the fabric, from the first model through a serie of different prototypes until we found the beautiful final jewel.

Mexico, What would I do without the absurd and the fugacious?

Technical information: Made in tumbaga, an alloy of brass and cooper. Finished with sterling silver plating. Lead time three weeks, a single necklace requires more than 30 hours of work to be completed.
