The romance began back in 1929 when
architect William Spratling falled in love
with Taxco de Alarcón and its silver
industry. By those years he established
the first jewelry workshop without knowing
that his beautiful child would become the
World´s Silver Capital.

At Taxco de Alarcón we perform an important
part of LUSASUL creations, crafting
products using exclusive sterling silver and
state-of-the-art craftsmanship. We belong
to this quiet, colorful and mysterious place,
which people used to say that the devil
himself was the one who showed the ways
to the miners into the caves full of silver, for
then take their life away, to the one´s who
didn't respect Taxco and take more of what
they needed.

LUSASUL takes the best of two worlds,
for us contemporaneity means look into
the future and take advantage of technologies
without forget traditional craftsmanship.

Once Upon a Time

When I was eight years old and I was at elementary 

school, I remember I used to like to make gorgeous 

thread bracelets to sell to my friends. One day I earned
$80 pesos, (around $7 USD), I was the 
happiest child
ever and I felt the richest girl in the world.

Years later I decided to study Industrial Design at

Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana and I was 

working with jewelry artisans at Jerez Zacatecas 

another silver capital in Mexico and that's when
I 
discover my love for jewelry.

Out of school, I worked for a NY jewelry brand
on 
its Mexico City facilities, I designed the jewelry 

collections, supervised the production and managed 

merchandising at mayor department stores. The
best part of been involve in all that learning 
was
the work as a trend hunter and the fashion rush
related on the development of new designs for next
season, 
and that´s how my love for fashion began.

In 2009, I won the most prestigious design award
in 
Mexico: the Bienal Nacional de Diseño, for the
first 
time I was exhibiting one of my own designs
at a 
magnificent venue - the Franz Mayer Museum,
and 
the prize, one silver kilo I got as a price from
the 
company Peñoles de México showed me
the way to start 
shaping my own dreams.
